Friday Lesson (Mambo) and Practice: 20 April 2018

Of Cuban origin, Mambo’s forward and backward movements boast a blend of latin and jazz rhythms and is believed to have been named after the voodoo priests who were able to send devotees into wild hypnotic gyrations.

The UCBDC is offering the opportunity for its members, friends and their families to learn the exuberant MAMBO LINE DANCE which the Club hopes will initiate, or strengthen, enthusiasm for the Mambo; and will definitely not induce a hypnotic state of any kind.  Please note that this is a line dance that can be danced to any Mambo music.

On Friday, April 20, 2018 the Club will be holding a Mambo Line Dance class from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm.
At 8:30 pm the full hall is open for one and all to practice not only the mambo, but all other dances offered by the club, or requests by attendees.
The Club is pleased to announce that Alex McPherson, the Club Professional will be instructing the class.  Alex’s Line Dance workshops are known for her positive teaching style using energized music, steps, and styling presented in a rhythmic, flowing, and easily followed manner.  No one will leave disappointed.  Partners are not required as each individual learns the basic and advanced mambo steps when choreographed into the line dance. Win/Win for all.
